PTP 200 F-Type Constants

The constants measure 35” x 12” x 20 ¼” and 29” x 10” x 19 ½”. The products have a maximum travel of 5” and can support loads up to 790 lbs. and 430 lbs. They are constructed of A36 steel with a hot dip galvanized finish. The frames on the custom designed constants were elongated to meet customer’s specifications. Standard load and adjustment testing was performed to ensure quality prior to shipping.

Horizontal U-Type Constants for Power Plant

The constants measure 61 x 17 x 40 and weigh 560 lbs. a piece. They are designed to operate in temperatures from -40° F to 660° F. The unique construction of the constants permits extensive vertical travel, ranging from 20.5 to 26. Standard load and adjustment testing was performed to ensure quality prior to shipping.

Long Tangent U-Bolts for Refinery

Piping Technology & Products, Inc. recently custom designed and fabricated eight long tangent U-bolts for an oil refinery in Texas. The carbon steel U-bolts can support pipes ranging from 8” to 16”. They are designed to support loads up to 9,900 lbs. and temperatures to 650° F. The products weigh between 3 lbs. and 9 lbs. U-bolts are recommended to support or guide heavy loads. They are often employed in power and process plants, as well as in marine service.

Custom Variable Boiler Spring Assemblies

Piping Technology & Products, Inc. recently custom designed and fabricated 63 variable spring assemblies used to support a boiler in a power plant.  Three sets of custom springs were designed for this project. The first group measures 14 x 14 x 17 1/8 and can support 45,000 lbs. per inch. The next group can support up to 28,000 lbs. per inch and measures 16 x 16 x 17 11/16. The third group measures 15 x 15 x 17 9/16 and can support 38,000 lbs. per inch. The coils in the assembly are made from 2 15/16 diameter coil with 2 3/4 or 3 active coils.

The variable spring assemblies are carbon steel with an inorganic zinc primer finish. The spring coils are A4161-H material with a neoprene exterior coating. Each spring coil was tested to insure the wire diameter, coil height and spring rates met customer specifications.

Vertical Constant Supports for a Refinery

Piping Technology & Products, Inc. custom designed and manufactured eight Type F vertical constant supports for a refinery in Ohio.  The constants are capable of supporting 2,000 to 3,500 lbs. and have a maximum travel of 5. They are constructed of carbon steel and each weighs 270 lbs. Standard load and adjustment testing was performed to ensure quality prior to shipping.

 Constants that Support up to 38,800 lbs.

Piping Technology & Products, Inc. custom designed and manufactured four PTP-100 Type G constants and three PTP-100 Type C constants for a power station in Missouri.  The PTP-100 Type C constants are designed for operating loads of 8,300 lbs. to 25,200 lbs. and have a travel range of 2.5 to 3.5. These constants are fabricated from A36 carbon steel with dimensions ranging from 66x18 to 88x20.

The PTP-100 Type G constants are designed for operating loads ranging from 2,800 lbs. to 38,800 lb. and a travel range of 2.5 to 3.5. They are fabricated out of A36 carbon steel with dimensions ranging from 75x26.5 to 95x50. Standard load and adjustment testing was performed to ensure quality prior to shipping.

Transition Piece for Olefin Site at Chocolate Bayou

Sweco Fab, Inc. recently designed and manufactured a 1,900 lb. transition piece for an olefin site at Chocolate Bayou on the Texas Gulf Coast. The product transitions from round to oval and is made of 36" half pipe construction. The piece measures 36" x 72" x 60" and is constructed of carbon steel. The transition piece will be used to regulate the flow of both air and liquid. Prior to shipping the product was hydrotested to guarantee quality.

46 Constants for Hydrogen Reformer

Piping Technology & Products, Inc. custom designed and manufactured 46 PTP 100-C size 50 constants for a hydrogen reformer in Chile. The constants measure 30 x 48, designed for a vertical travel range of 11 and an operating load capacity of 2,600 lbs. They are fabricated out of A36 carbon steel. To ensure quality, standard load and travel tests were performed prior to shipping.

Adjustable Base Supports and Flanged Pipe Trunnions for Cold Piping

Piping Technology & Products Inc., recently designed and fabricated 87 base supports and flanged pipe trunnions for cold piping to be used in Equatorial Guinea. The products were designed according to customer specifications and the pipes range in size from 3" to 24". The base supports and trunnions were fabricated from micarta and A36 carbon steel.

Structural Steel Frame Posts for Power Plant

Piping Technology & Products, Inc. recently custom designed and fabricated an 11' x 11' x 11' six structural steel frame for a power plant in California.

Each post of the frame measures 11'x11'x11' with knee braces 15' long at 45º to the vertical post. The structure is made of carbon steel and includes W6X15 beams. The frame supports 24' auxiliary cooling water lines and can sustain vertical operating loads of up to 13,500 lbs. This structure is also designed to withstand a seismic loading factor of .49 in all directions.
