We are grateful for the opportunity to help out the local community by donating school supplies to children of various ages. We supplied an assortment of items including notebook paper, pencils, pens, glue sticks and construction paper. At the event today, children were all smiles as they picked up their new backpack and school supplies. They also were able to pick up some donated clothing and shoes and top it all off with a hot dog, nachos and cold drink!

PT&P Hosts Houston Caesar II Meeting with Pipe Support Seminar
This week, Piping Technology hosted a meeting at a local Indian restaurant in Houston for the Houston Caesar II User Group and SPED members. While attendees enjoyed a delectable Indian meal, we presented a technical overview on pipe support engineering and design featuring a variety of products including variable springs, pipe clamps, and pre-insulated supports. The presentation also featured various design tools including finite element analysis, 3D modeling, and STAAD analysis.

The cold shoes are fabricated from a combination of carbon steel, micarta insulation, and stainless steel. They measure 18" x 12" x 10" and are designed for 7" of lateral movement with temperatures as low as -162°C. A total of 16 supports were manufactured and PMI tested. This was a rush order completed in just under 12 weeks for a LNG plant.
