68 Sliding Cold Shoes with Lateral Restraint
Piping Technology and Products, Inc. recently fabricated and designed several sliding cold shoes with lateral restraint for a river site in Georgia. The sliding cold shoes have a frame of A36 carbon steel. These were designed to support pipes of 14 to 36 in diameter, insulated with 4.5 to 5 in thick layers of polyurethane foam.

24" x 30" diameter, 740 PSIG Pig Launchers and Receivers
The launchers and receivers, with dimensions of 24" x 30" x 138" long and 10" x 14" x 132" long, are designed for 740 PSIG at 170 degrees. One of the Pig Launchers and Receivers composed of a 24" dia. minor barrel and a 30" dia. major barrel, while the other one consisted of a 10" dia. minor barrel and a 14" dia. major barrel. The major and minor barrels are fabricated from API 5L X 52. To ensure quality, the Launchers and Receivers were 100 % x-rayed and hydro-tested prior to shipment.
Pig Launchers and Receivers are installed in pipelines to launch and receive Pipeline Pigs. Pigs can be used for the cleaning of pipelines. In addition, Pigs can be used for the separation of two products within the same pipeline. 58,000 lb. Load Constant Hangers for an Oil Refinery
Piping Technology & Products, Inc. recently custom designed and fabricated PTP Fig. 200 Constant Hangers for a coker unit in St. Croix. These supports, with operating loads ranging from 4,000 lb. to 58,000 lb., will be used to support flue gas ducts at the oil refinery. The overall lengths of the Horizontal Constants are 5' to 7', and the heights of the Vertical Constants ranged from 4' to 6'. The combined weight of the constants totaled over 24,000 lb. Color-coded rivets for hot and cold loads and universal locking devices are also installed per customer's request.

25,000 lb. Load Hydraulic Shock Suppressor and Clamp Assemblies
Piping Technology & Products, Inc., recently designed and manufactured fourteen PTP Fig. 2100 Hydraulic Shock Suppressor and pipe hanger assemblies for a Steel Company in North Dakota. The assembly consists of a 12 diameter alloy clamp and a PTP Fig. 2100 Hydraulic Snubber with cylinder size of 3 1/4 diameter and 5 stroke load. They are designed to accommodate loads of 25,000 lb. and high temperatures up to 1,100 F. To ensure the products quality, dimension and movement tests were conducted prior to shipment.
PT&P also designed and manufactured Variables Spring Hangers and various Pipe Supports Assembly Components in a range of different specifications and materials for this project.

Upthrust U-Type Constants for Plant in Mexico
The constants' dimensions are 25” x 56” with 17” pipe OD, and 29” x 68” with 21” pipe OD. These constants have a loaded capacity of 8,400 to 17,800 lbs. This constant is designed to support piping from below. The tests that were conducted on this product were standard loading and travel testing to ensure quality and performance. The constant is manufactured from A36 carbon steel.

The constants measure 35” x 12” x 20 ¼” and 29” x 10” x 19 ½”. The products have a maximum travel of 5” and can support loads up to 790 lbs. and 430 lbs. They are constructed of A36 steel with a hot dip galvanized finish. The frames on the custom designed constants were elongated to meet customer’s specifications. Standard load and adjustment testing was performed to ensure quality prior to shipping.

Horizontal U-Type Constants for Power Plant
The constants measure 61 x 17 x 40 and weigh 560 lbs. a piece. They are designed to operate in temperatures from -40° F to 660° F. The unique construction of the constants permits extensive vertical travel, ranging from 20.5 to 26. Standard load and adjustment testing was performed to ensure quality prior to shipping.

Long Tangent U-Bolts for Refinery
Piping Technology & Products, Inc. recently custom designed and fabricated eight long tangent U-bolts for an oil refinery in Texas. The carbon steel U-bolts can support pipes ranging from 8” to 16”. They are designed to support loads up to 9,900 lbs. and temperatures to 650° F. The products weigh between 3 lbs. and 9 lbs. U-bolts are recommended to support or guide heavy loads. They are often employed in power and process plants, as well as in marine service.

Vertical Constant Supports for a Refinery
